We intend to focus our search for target companies on Latin American technology companies because of the opportunity we believe is presented by the region and industry at this point in time. There are numerous late-stage companies in our target sectors that have a significant number of early stage investors and have valuations within our target range.
Our founders have direct access to a substantial number of these companies, their management teams and investors, and have worked or co-invested with them in the region for more than 20 years. Being serial entrepreneurs themselves, our founders can approach existing investors and entrepreneurs in these companies not only for a source of capital, but as collaborators, offering insight, data and lessons learned in different verticals across tech over time.
We believe that Latin America’s economic and younger-skewing demographic profile, coupled with the increase in access to internet and digital solutions and our management team’s experience in executing transactions, will enable us to capitalize on attractive and favorable investment opportunities in tech companies. We believe local institutional investors’ still emerging understanding of hyper-growth companies will enable us to capitalize on unique opportunities as many tech companies look to find alternative sources of capital and a U.S. listing on Nasdaq.
